Regional and Urban Development Agency

Regional and Urban Development Agency was formally established in 2009 with the goal of improving living conditions for the urban and rural poor, particularly in the Jammu and Kashmir region. It was founded by a group of professionals committed to enhancing the lives of underprivileged communities across urban, rural, and tribal areas. We collaborate with grassroots organizations, government bodies, funding agencies, and the private sector to improve livelihoods, especially in the state's most difficult and disturbed districts. Over the years, RUDA has expanded its efforts in environmental sustainability through plastic waste management in partnership with the UNDP, Word Bank, Centre for Environment Education/HDFC Bank, State Pollution Control Board and Jammu Municipal Corporation, Samba Municipal corporation, Swachh Bharat Mission Bhuj, and with many corporates on implementing IEC Program on Waste Management, Rural development projects, disaster management with the Konkan Railways, and livelihood programs in border-area villages, Mental Health Initiatives with Govt Medical College, Relief and Rehabilitation, Wetland Conservation with Seeds Technical Services (STS). Additionally, we focused heavily on health, sanitation, and education, including providing toilets for various households.

Our work is grounded in the belief that every individual deserves to live with dignity and respect. Throughout our journey, we remain committed to creating livelihood opportunities, better health, education, empowerment and environment condition for people of India. Our progress, particularly in fostering gender equality, is a testament to our collective efforts.
